MEET THE TEAM
KYO SA NIM MR BRETT NELSON
Chief Instructor of the Prestwich Centre
I began my martial arts training because I refused to just sit and watch whilst my son took part. Ever since then I have been hooked.
I love how Tang Soo Do focuses on the whole person - mind, body and soul. This isn’t just punching and kicking, this is Martial Arts!
KYO SA NIM MR HARRIS NELSON
Chief Instructor of the Oldham Centre
I started martial arts back in 2006, learning Shotokan Karate & gained my black belt. I then moved on to Tang Soo Do. I love martial arts - it's a great way to stay fit and it is a really fun activity to do with your friends and family.
KYO SA NIM MRS LINSEY NELSON
I started training in Tang Soo Do late in life & I joined with my daughter - it was a good opportunity for us all to do an activity together as a family. I never thought martial arts would be for me until I tried it!
KYO SA NIM MISS ABBIE NELSON
I support the Instructors in class, helping other students to learn and to perfect their techniques. I also help to demonstrate some of the different moves to the class.
I started Tang Soo Do with my mum so I could keep fit, learn to defend myself and to take part in a family activity that we can all do.
KYO SA NIM MRS CAROL PLUMMER
My martial arts journey started when I wanted to find something to push me out of my comfort zone, to improve my fitness and build on my confidence as I was entering a new decade! I had no idea I would become completely hooked, and I ended up joining the Assistant Instructor Training Programme, and getting my black belt. I love it and my hope is to try to share my passion for martial arts with others. If I can do it, anyone can!
